The Virgin Islands National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Virgin Islands National Guard who perform an act ,or acts, that are far beyond the call of duty. This act, or acts, may have put one in grave danger and must show a great deal of bravery for this award to apply. For subsequent awards, numerals are to be worn on the ribbon. |

The Virgin Islands National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Virgin Islands National Guard who are ordered to active duty. For additional awards, a numeral will be awarded and affixed to the ribbon. |

The Virgin Islands National Guard Long and Faithful Service Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Virgin Islands National Guard who serve for five years in an honorable status. The service does not have to be consecutive for the award to be issued. For subsequent awards, numerals are worn on the ribbon. |

The Virgin Islands National Guard Meritorious Service Medal Ribbon. Awarded to members of the VI National Guard who accomplish tasks that greatly benefit the VI National Guard. Furthermore, heroic acts will also qualify one for this award - especially if the act, or acts is not deemed worthy enough to garner the VI National Guard Distinguished Service Medal. For subsequent awards numerals are to be affixed to the ribbon. |
