Vermont National Guard Active Duty for Training Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Active Duty for Training Ribbon. This ribbon is awarded to members of the Vermont National Guard who successfully complete the Reserve Enlisted Program. Members that are not eligible for this award include those who suffer bad or lost time due to health of disciplinary issues. |

Vermont National Guard Career Service Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Career Service Ribbon. It is awarded to service members who complete 20 years of satisfactory and faithful service in the Vermont National Guard. The time does not have to be continuous and an hourglass will be award for a second award. |

Vermont National Guard Commendation Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Commendation Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Vermont National guard who preform duty and service in a meritorious and exemplary fashion. Performing normal duty in an exceptional way does not suffice - as this award is bestowed for extraordinary acts of service. Subsequent awards will be represented by Oak Leaf Clusters. |

Vermont National Guard Desert Storm Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Desert Storm Ribbon. This award is presented to service members that served in an active and honorable status during the period of August 2nd 1990 to November 30th 1995. Members who served on short tour, or temporary duty are not eligible for this award. |

Vermont National Guard Distinguished Service Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Distinguished Service Ribbon. Awarded to service-members who are part of the Vermont National Guard who distinguish themselves through their service. This can be shown by voluntary risk of life, risk of grave injury or by serving with great responsibility. For acts of heroism, a "V" device is awarded - for all other subsequent awards, an Oak Leaf Cluster will be awarded. |

Vermont National Guard Duty Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Duty Ribbon. This award is presented for 3 consecutive years of drill attendance and satisfactory duty. Subsequent awards are represented by a 3/16" bronze star device, while a 6th award is represented by a 3/16" silver star device. |

Vermont National Guard Good Conduct Ribbon
The Vermont National Guard Good Conduct Ribbon. It is awarded to members of the Vermont National Guard who complete a minimum of 3 years of service. To qualify, the service must be considered exemplary, however does not have to be continuous. Additional awards are shown by wearing a bronze oak leaf cluster on the ribbon. |

The Vermont National Guard Medal of Merit Ribbon. This award is presented to members of the Vermont National Guard who demonstrate outstanding service by acts of heroism, through great personal hazard and risk of life. Subsequent awards are displayed by a bronze oak leaf cluster. |

The Vermont National Guard Meritorious Service Ribbon. It is awarded to members of the Vermont National Guard who serve with distinction through selfless and exceptional service. This award is specifically bestowed to members who show meritorious achievement, but for service that cannot meet the requirements for the Vermont National Guard Commendation. For subsequent awards, an Oak Leaf Cluster will be presented. |

The Vermont National Guard Organizational Excellence Ribbon. It is awarded for outstanding service, below the unit level, to the Vermont National Guard. A bronze star device denotes an additional award, while a silver star represents a 6th award. |

the Vermont National Guard Outstanding Unit Service Ribbon. It is awarded for outstanding service completed by a unit of the Vermont National Guard. For an additional award, a bronze star device is issued - for a 6th award a silver star is issued. |

The Vermont National Guard Professional Development Ribbon. This ribbon is awarded to members of the Vermont National Guard who complete one of the following courses in an enlisted capacity : 1 - Officer Candidate School / Academy of Military Science, 2 - Non-commissioned Officer Academy, 3 - Airman Leadership School, 4 - MOS Producing Course. Additional awards are denoted by a bronze star device. |

The years don't have to be continuous to be awarded. Subsequent awards are shown by wearing a 3/16" bronze star device on the ribbon, while a 6th award is represented by a 3/16" silver star device. |
