Republic of Vietnam (RVN) Wound Medal
Criteria: A military decoration of South Vietnam created in 1950. Awarded to
U.S. military service members who, while engaged in armed combat with enemies
of the Republic of Vietnam, were either killed or wounded in action. Typically
U.S. personnel awarded the medal must have been attached to and under the
direct command of a Vietnamese unit.
